According to our unscientific poll, you all want the Grammy for Reggae Album of the Year to go to Protoje. Protoje is who you would like to take home the Grammy. This is Protoje’s first Grammy nomination.
What is interesting is that the old guard, Black Uhuru, Ziggy Marley, and Sting & Shaggy, didn’t receive any votes in our poll. With so many great reggae artists on the scene that do not receive recognition at the Grammy’s, is this a sign that reggae fans want to see some of these other artists get a turn at being recognized for their contribution to the genre?
