SWEDISH FESTIVAL TO HOST ALL-FEMALE LINEUP

The Swedish annual ÖLAND ROOTS FESTIVAL, scheduled for July 10-13 on the Swedish island of Öland, will be an all-female reggae event.

Mykal Rose Nectar Performance

MYKAL ROSE with Sly and Robbie performed to the packed house that is Nectar Lounge. Dub Lounge International started the evening out with a special performance by Davin Michel Steadman, the Reggae Angels, and a solo performance by the legendary Lloyd Parks, who sat in for Robbie Shakespeare. Mykal Rose performed all of our old favorites from his time with Black Uhuru, Shine Eye Gal, Solidarity, Stalk of Sensimilla, and new music including his rendition of Put a Spell on You. He gave Reggae in Seattle an exclusive interview in which he talks about his music, up and coming artists, and his time spent reconnecting with spirit. Stay Tuned into Reggae in Seattle. Secondly, the rising star that is KOFFEE is going to be performing at the Showbox Sodo on Saturday, August 17th, she is on tour with Daniel Caesar. Do not miss this!! EVERY SATURDAY night is CARIBBEAN NIGHT at the Red Lounge with Reggae, Dancehall, Reggaeton, and Soca.

EVERY MONDAY is the Monday Night #JamJam at The Monkey Loft with DJ. Element and Zions Gate Sound.

EVERY THURSDAY Reggae in Seattle is on Seattle Comcast channel 77 and Wave channel 23 at 7:30PM on Thursdays, with encore airings at 2:00 pm Saturdays and 2:00 Am Sundays. We feature reggae artists interviews and reggae music videos with a local spin. There is also a live stream at: SCCtv Live Stream.
